Overcoming Social Anxiety
Radhika’s Journey to Confidence
- Anxiety
- Young Adult

Background
Radhika, a 32-year-old marketing professional from Mumbai, had always been the quiet one in the office. Although she had a lot of great ideas, social anxiety prevented her from speaking up during meetings, networking events, and even casual workplace interactions. She was constantly consumed by the fear of being judged, leading to missed opportunities for career advancement. Her anxiety also seeped into her personal life, causing her to avoid social gatherings and public events.
The Journey
Radhika’s turning point came when she realized that her social anxiety was holding her back from living her life to the fullest. She sought help from Nalanda Centre after hearing about our specialized approach to mental health. Through a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques, Radhika began to challenge the negative thoughts that fueled her anxiety. Weekly therapy sessions, along with guided exercises to help her manage stress, laid the foundation for her healing process.
